An eCycle Group qualifying item is one that’s on our Price List and unbroken/undamaged upon arrival at our Erie, PA facility. This makes the item(s) resalable. When we receive damaged items, they are recycled responsibly.

Defining a damaged item by product type:

Inkjets

• Circuitry is scratched, marked, punctured, covered in tape, etc.


• Housing is cracked, drilled, etc.


• Remanufactured (cartridges are considered damaged because they’ve been drilled, refilled and used again sometimes under a new brand name)

Lasers

• Any of the moving parts are broken or don’t move


• Tabs are broken


• Housing is cracked, drilled, etc.


• Remanufactured

Cell Phones

• Dirty (covered in toner, results in damage to the item)


• Water damaged


• Screen scratched or smashed


• Parts missing


• Generally unusable in its current state


• Any item we suspect might be stolen is considered damaged
